YESTERDAY

In 1994, Daniel Hanley visited Mont-Tremblant for the first time on a ski trip. This businessman and family man was charmed by the perfect combination of lakes, mountains, and picturesque villages in the region. It was love at first sight.

“The tranquility of these places reminds me of fishing trips and stories told by the fire in the evening,”
says Daniel Hanley, original owner of the Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant

At that time, on the shores of Ouimet Lake, stood La Villa Bellevue, which was in great need of renewal. Daniel Hanley’s ambitious project, the vast resort hotel and conference centre, Le Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant, was born there.

“From the beginning, my idea was to create a cradle where happy memories would be born for my wife and children, a place where time could stop, even if only for a moment,” he says.

For generations, Ouimet Lake has been the starting point for adventurers and leisure travellers looking for a comfortable place to stay, a place of relaxation, and a preferred destination for skiing, swimming, fishing, etc.

Daniel Hanley’s committed approach allowed him to surround himself with engaged, attentive, and loyal hotel staff members, dedicated to creating an accessible, sustainable, and memorable customer experience.
