There is no doubt, this time of year beckons us to cuddle up by the fireplace with a good book, simply enjoying the moment.

Hints of change
As I was listening to the forecast, they were calling for temperatures to go as low as -5 during the night. Hints that Mother Nature is about to decorate our landscape with a blanket of fresh snow. I feel excited and long for the spectacular cross-country trails the area has to offer. On that note, I am proud to announce our collaboration with Domaine Saint Bernard giving our guests direct access to their magnificent network of trails right from our front door.

Transformations at the hotel
The hotel is going through its own transformation with our holiday decorations. It’s a perfect time to start planning gatherings between family and friends, and to get ready for your favorite winter sports. With our Kid’s Club in full swing over the Holidays and lots of indoor and outdoor activities to choose from, it will be bustling here at the Grand Lodge and we hope you and yours can make it a point to join us.

You can help make a change
We applaud our Executive Chef David Ouellet and 3 of his friends for creating the first edition of the Laurentian Chefs 2011 Calendar. All the proceeds will benefit the Club des petits dejeuners du Québec which offers school children a hearty, nourishing breakfast. By purchasing a calendar for $10, you will help make a change in the lives of 16,000 grateful children.
